Winter Mountain Lion Hunts

We hunt Lions, Bobcats and Wolves in the River of No Return and the Selway Wilderness.  This is a great area to hunt big cats.   The hunting pressure in Unit 17 is so low that it is a two lion area and 6 out of the top 10 Boon and Crocket Cats came from here. It is also a 2 wolf and unlimited bobcat unit with reduced nonresident lion and wolf tags selling for only $31.75. Bobcats come with your hunting license.   If you every wanted to have an opportunity to harvest a wolf this is the time and place.  For the first time in the last 100 years we can trap wolves in the lower 48.  And we finally have the tools to be effective at hunting them. We can hunt wolves incidentally to trapping baits, call them with the latest electronic calling technology, and the old fashioned way: spot and stock.  Come and hunt uneducated wolves this winter. Our guided Hunts are run from our deluxe Main Base Camp on Deep Creek at the headwaters of the Selway River.  You will stay in heated wall tents and enjoy hearty meals served family-style. We provide everything except your license, tags and personal gear. This hunt offers you spectacular winter scenery as well as a wide variety of wildlife in its winter range…a real photographic opportunity.

Combo Hunt:

We start the day looking for lion and bobcat tracks.  We have about 40 miles of trails we check each day with snowmobiles and check several miles more hiking. We also run a personal trap line and after we check tracks, hunters may accompany us and hunt wolves incidentally to trapping baits and with the latest electronic calling technology.
